Made of silk, the backside is white with a cloud and dragon pattern, while the front side is a very light beige cream with large pink and purple chrysanthemums bordered with gold. Uchishiki is mainly used by followers of Jodo Shinshu Buddhism on the upper table (Maejyoku) and the front table (Uwajyoku) in the Buddhist altar
